The team came to do a Solar panel health check. They were punctual, courteous and explained what was going to happen. The report arrived day after appointment as promised with photos showing possible causes of less efficient panels. I would confidently recommend Next Phase Solar for their panel check and clean.

We wanted a decent sized battery and they were the only ones who didn't try to talk us into something smaller. 32kWh GoodWe, installed in a day, boys were on time and left the place tidy. Brad answered every question I had, and a few after as well. Couldn't ask for better!

Fast and easy from start to finish. I just needed a battery added and they sorted it out really quickly, much faster than I expected after hearing how long other companies take. Brad was great, clear and helpful the whole way through. Highly recommend them if you are in Mackay.

How we work
From your power bill to switch-on
Step 01: Tell us what you need
Panels, a battery, an EV charger, or a mix. Send the form or ring us.
Step 02: Send a recent power bill
A photo is fine. It shows what you use each day and whether you are on single or three phase power, which decides the inverter.
Step 03: Designed from your bill
We size the system from your bill and send a written quote within 24 hours of getting it. You read it before anyone visits.
Step 04: Roof and site check
If you want to go ahead, our technician checks the roof and takes measurements. Then we finalise the quote.
Step 05: Ergon and STC paperwork
We lodge the Ergon connection application for you, and do the STC paperwork at no charge.
Step 06: Switch-on and handover
We install, test and switch on the system, then hand everything over. 3 years on our workmanship from the day we finish.

FAQs
Common questions and answers
Based in Mackay, owned by Mackay locals. Brad (head technician) lives here, the crew lives here, the depot is here. The phone number you ring is answered locally, not by a national call centre.
Our mounting is rated to AS/NZS 1170.2 wind region C, which is what regional QLD requires. Panel rails, brackets and fixings are spec'd for cyclone-region wind loads. We can also pull permits for higher categories if your insurer asks for it.
Two main ones for QLD homes: federal STCs (small-scale technology certificates) discount your upfront system cost, currently worth roughly $400 to $600 per kW depending on the rebate zone; and the federal Home Battery rebate (live since July 2025) cuts about 30% off battery storage. We sort the STC paperwork at no charge as part of every install.
We handle it end to end: connection application, export-limit set and generation meter request. We lodge on day one of the project so the network approval does not become the bottleneck.
Our written workmanship warranty is 3 years: if a defect in our workmanship appears within 3 years from the date we finish the installation, we fix it at no cost to you. Panels carry the manufacturer's product warranty (typically 12 to 25 years) plus a 25-year output warranty, and we help you make a claim with the manufacturer.
Residential: 24 hours from when you send us a recent power bill. Commercial: 24 hours from when we have 12 months of interval data. No on-site sales call required before we send the written quote.
For panel cleaning, bird proofing and gutter cleaning booked online, travel to the outer suburbs is added to the price, and you see it before you book. Online booking reaches about an hour from Mackay, so Airlie Beach and the Bowen Basin are quoted separately.
